About hiptool

hiptool is a toolbox of small, fast utilities built around one rule: your data never leaves your browser.

The privacy promise

Every tool does its processing locally, as JavaScript and WebAssembly in your browser tab. There is no backend, no upload endpoint and no database. Don't take our word for it: watch the network tab while you use any tool. Most tools keep working with the internet disconnected.

No accounts, no tracking

There is nothing to sign up for. Pins, recents and preferences live in your browser's localStorage and never sync anywhere. We use cookie-free, aggregate analytics to count page views, and that's it.

How it's funded

A single, clearly marked ad below each tool. Ads are static placements and never receive your tool input.

Open-source credits

The tools here stand on open-source work. HEIC photos are decoded by libheif, used unmodified via libheif-js and licensed under the LGPL v3; the library is delivered to your browser as its own file, so it can be replaced with another build. PDFs use pdf-lib and pdf.js, and images use browser-image-compression, all under permissive licences.
