About this tool
Resize photos and images without uploading them. Drop one file or a batch, pick a mode: exact pixel dimensions, fit inside a bounding box (never upscales), or a simple percentage. The aspect-ratio lock keeps width and height in step, each file row shows the old and new dimensions and sizes, and batches download as one zip.
Useful for hitting upload limits, profile picture requirements, or emailing photos at a sane size. Large downscales run in halving steps so fine detail stays crisp instead of aliased. Phone photos with a rotation flag come out upright, and because the pixels are re-encoded, EXIF metadata (including GPS location) is dropped along the way.

- Are my photos uploaded to resize them?
- No. Resizing happens on a canvas in your browser, so images never leave your device. That also means no file size limits and no queue.
- Will resizing remove the photo metadata?
- Yes. Re-encoding through a canvas drops EXIF metadata including GPS location, though the rotation stored there is applied first so photos come out upright. If you only want metadata removed without resizing, use the EXIF Remover.
- Can I make an image bigger?
- Exact and percentage modes allow it, with a warning: upscaling cannot add detail, so the result will look soft. The fit-inside mode never upscales.
