About this tool
Put two photos next to each other in one JPG: before and after shots, product comparisons, two sides of a document, or a quick pair for a listing. Drop in two images and they are scaled to share the same height, so the result has no empty bars and nothing is blown up past its real resolution. Switch to a stacked layout to match widths instead, add a gap in any colour, or keep both at their original sizes. Each image has its own rotate buttons, so a sideways shot can be turned upright before the two are lined up.
The output is always a JPG. Pick a quality directly, or set a maximum file size and the tool finds the best quality that fits, shrinking the dimensions only when it has to. A max long side setting caps the pixel size for sites with dimension limits. Phone photos with a rotation flag come out upright, and because the pixels are re-encoded, EXIF metadata such as GPS location is dropped.
Frequently asked questions
- Are my photos uploaded to combine them?
- No. Both images are drawn onto a canvas in your browser and encoded to JPG right there, so nothing leaves your device.
- How are the two images sized?
- By default the larger image is scaled down so both share the same height (or width, when stacked), so nothing is upscaled and there are no empty bars. You can instead enlarge the smaller one, or keep both at their original sizes.
- How does the file size limit work?
- The tool searches for the highest JPG quality that fits under your limit. If even a low quality is still too big, it shrinks the dimensions as well, and tells you the final size and quality it used.
