Pick pages by thumbnail or type a range

πŸ”’ Split in your browser, never uploaded.

About this tool

Pull a PDF apart without uploading it. Drop a document and every page renders as a thumbnail with a checkbox; tick the pages you want (or type a range like 1-3, 7, 12-) and choose an action. Extract makes a new PDF from just the selected pages, remove produces the document without them, and split-all saves every page as its own file in a zip.

Pages are copied losslessly with pdf-lib, the same open-source engine behind the PDF Merger here, so text stays selectable and nothing is rasterized or recompressed. Handy for sending one chapter of a contract, dropping a blank scan page, or turning a combined statement back into monthly files. The document is processed entirely in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to split it?
No. Page copying is done by the open-source pdf-lib library running in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
Does splitting re-compress or reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied losslessly into the new file with their fonts, images and vector content untouched. Nothing is rasterized.
Can I split password-protected PDFs?
Not reliably. Some protected files open, but fully encrypted documents fail with an error. Remove the password first with the tool that created the file.
